Ah, the tea for one set. This has to rank as one of the best gift ideas ever. By gift idea, I certainly don’t exclude the idea of a gift from oneself to oneself. Sometimes, we jus deserve it!

This brings us to the Yedi Houseware Classic Coffee and Tea Polka Dot Tea For One Set. The description is slightly misleading in terms of the color. In reality I would say, the tea pot is on the peachy side of yellow. I am willing to forgive them.

This little number is generously decorated with multi color polka dots and is nothing, if not cheerful. Even the lid has a few spots to join in the party. Once the tea pot has been lifted from its partner, the tea cup, the plain white interior of said tea cup is revealed. It makes for a pleasant contrast and adds to the visual appeal of this set. It is indeed a lovely piece to add to a collection if you appreciate the finer details, such as the solid workmanship and lighthearted design. In particular, I like the marginally compressed look of the tea cup with corresponding handle. It is ever so slightly wider in diameter than an average cup, which allows for the tea to cool more easily.

Unlike some of the other products on the market, this tea for one set does require some extra care. You may not stick it in the microwave, neither are you allowed to ram it in the dishwasher. This is a quality item and needs to be hand washed as it is made from high grade porcelain. It seems logical to me that a tea for one set should be, to be honest. If you are drinking tea alone, there hardly seems to be a need for using a dishwasher.
